“Republicans ought to nationalize the voting,” Trump told former deputy FBI director and conservative commentator Dan Bongino on his radio show on Monday. “We have states that I won that show I didn’t win. …"

This shows how he thinks. He has no evidence he won, and cannot have evidence because he didn’t win. But a mind like Trump’s makes no distinction between what he wants the truth to be and what is the truth. There’s no room at all for the notion of being wrong, or the idea that you might need to find out the truth. If it would serve you for something to be true, then it is true. This is a deeply broken mind.

There are still many unanswered questions about the Georgia raid, such as why a criminal investigation has been opened into an election that took place six years ago and was audited three times

    Someone’s buttfrustrated

President Trump called on Republicans “to take over the voting in at least 15 places” in advance of the next election

Yeah, that can’t happen. We’re going to have to stop them. Volunteer to be a poll worker, especially if you happen to live in any of these “15 places.” This article doesn’t say specifically which places these are, but I think it’s safe to assume they are important swing districts.

Absolutely agree - many states also pay their poll workers for their time and efforts, I am in a swing state and have served multiple elections since 2020 and yes the shift is a long one but it is very rewarding.

Voting isn’t about winning. They’re going to fuck with it. It’s about forcing their hand. There are still a lot of people who will turn on them if they prominently destroy free elections. We need to create a situation that can’t be denied, particularly by the military brass, that they’re breaking their oath of office. It’s already obvious, but it isn’t coup levels of obvious.

      They’re likely right.

Midterms are going to hit the Republicans hard, they barely have a majority as it stands.

          Oh no, a post title.

If they were canceling elections why haven’t they started yet?

Republicans now have a one vote margin in the House thanks to Democrats winning regular and special elections over the last year.

Democrats have flipped 20% of Republican seats, Republicans have flipped none.

We’ve been seeing an unprecedented slide to the left in elections over and over in 2025, including one in Texas over the weekend that went D+14 and just two years ago was a solid Trump district at R+17. That’s a 31 point shift to the left. In Texas.

There have been dozens of shifts of that magnitude.

Not to mention the several Democratic governors and AGs that have been elected - and those are the ones who challenge the administration in court (and have been winning most of those challenges by the way).

Elections have consequences, and they know that too. If they were going to mess with them they would and should have done so already.

If they were canceling elections why haven’t they started yet?

If they want to build concentration camps, why haven’t they started yet?

if they want to deport law-abiding citizens, why haven’t they started yet?

if they want to create their own masked thug army, why haven’t they started yet?

Anyone who’s been paying attention should KNOW that “hasn’t happened yet” does NOT necessarily mean that they won’t do something.

We’re talking about elections, which decide who is on power to decide whether those other things you brought up are allowed to happen.

If you want to give up your agency, roll over and show your belly, and comply in advance, then fine. Don’t vote. I will be both voting and working the polls in November.

Which is why it’s important not to rest on “they haven’t started yet”

That’s the OPPOSITE of what I’m advocating.

                Don’t vote

Fuck that. I’ve never missed a vote since I first became old enough 25 years ago and I’m not planning on starting now.

Of course they will. It’s called voter suppression, and it’s been happening in this country since we’ve been a country. Welcome to America.

There is no legal justification for the Federal Gov’t to take over elections in the US, as that is the purview of the State’s, according to the constitution, if I’m not mistaken.

Which of course doesn’t matter, as far as they’re concerned. Laws here are only for the poor and powerless now.
