Amid backlash over partial demolition of East Wing, White House reportedly intends to send blueprints

The White House has not submitted plans for Donald Trump’s new ballroom to the federal agency that oversees construction of federal buildings, though demolition is already under way.

On Tuesday, the White House told Reuters it intended to send plans to the National Capital Planning Commission, an agency that typically approves and monitors construction on federal buildings. Demolition began earlier this week, with reporters taking video of a backhoe ripping out chunks of the White House’s exterior.

The New York Times reported Wednesday, citing a senior administration official, that the ballroom plans will mean the demolition of the entire East Wing.

Took me easy too long to realise that wasn’t an actual photo of the current state of the white house…

      From Zombieland/2?

I won’t hear a word against president camacho, guy was completely uneducated but actually pretty intelligent all things considered. Aknoweldged things were fucked but that he couldn’t fix them, created a national program to find someone who could and upon finding that person immediately put them in charge. Better leader than most in the western world right now.

The most unbelievable part of that entire film is that President Dwayne Elizondo Mountian Dew Herbert Camacho didnt take credit for solving the crisis at the end of the movie.

That increasingly sounds like it is the current state of the White House.

Filing plans would signal that the administration was somehow beholden to something or someone.

Oh! I get it. He’s destroying the white house as a symbolic metaphor for him destroying America.

It’s National. That’s a fantastic word for “I haven’t the faintest idea from what rabbit asshole I will be pulling a full rolled up plan from, but believe me, I will.”

I use it at work all the time. It only works when the thing you’re doing hasn’t ever been done before.

I just want to know how the hell it’s supposed to cost $250 million. I searched for $250 million buildings and found a 25 storey tower, a SpaceX launch facility and the hangar that holds the entire fleet of Air Force One jets. A stupid ballroom should cost a few million tops.

This is actually surprising that this government building is just being torn down without any public information filings saying how much is being torn down…

Is this just shoddy incompetent engineering that is standard fare for anyone working for this administration, or is there something being hidden from us?

FSB, MSS, Mossad and other foreign spy agencies must love this.

I wonder how good the security is.

Except this time it’s a building he’s raping instead of children and women.

He never apologizes though. He just demands you accept he has a right to do whether the hell he wants.

Well, the exits and command controls wouldn’t be very secret if they filed them:

The East Wing was built on top of the Presidential Emergency Operations Center, a secure emergency underground shelter for the president.

Now that’s interesting. (More info here.)

I wonder what fun listening devices and other random spy shit are being planted there. A future President should probably not use that bunker until the “ballroom” above it is replaced with a structure that wasnt built by someone so obviously under foreign influence.

I had a girlfriend from New Jersey tell me the best way to use your turn signal on the highway is to turn it on after you already started merging. That way the person you’re cutting off can’t speed up to block you, and the cops won’t pull you over for not signaling.

We were dating at age 19 maybe? She had already been in 2 car accidents.

I do know people like that and it’s blowing my mind every single time. They don’t use turn signals if possible, if they do in roundabouts for example, they don’t do it to keep traffic going, they use it on the way out to not get a ticket. Somehow these people never get pulled over or get a fine. I got pulled over randomly and had to take drug tests and whatever. When i asked them why they pulled me over, they just shrugged. My girlfriend who was not a terrible driver, but far from a good one, was once followed by the police for a few kilometres, with the lights on and “pull over” sign and whatever. She just didn’t know, because she hardly ever uses her mirrors, no over the shoulder look etc. when they did finally overtook her and pulled her over, they all just had a good laugh about how bad she was at keeping an eye at her surroundings. I swear if that was me, i would be in jail.

The logic also falls through not only on safety grounds, but on the fact that legally in most places you technically have to signal for three full seconds before changing lanes, and maintain signaling until you have been in the lane for a couple seconds. So in total you have to be signaling for like 6 seconds minimum, otherwise you could still be ticketed for it.

Although realistically the only time you would see a ticket is if you caused an accident by not doing it

At my house, I got very little ball room. But I just scratch them if I’m not comfortable.

Anyway, I just sanded my whole car down with 80 grit sand paper. The house also looked like it needed it, so I sanded the garage. I’m going to go ask the dog what the plan is. My wife said the car could use a wash.
