When trying to find weed living in another country, asked a mate if they smoked while they were smoking a cigarette.

It was understood. Turns out he sells it too

I don’t beat around the bush, they’re my doctor not the cops.

Yeah doc I consume marijuana in various forms and occasionally do mushrooms. They don’t even blink.

I told my doctor and he didn’t care, maybe it’s because weed is legal in Canada.

I would never tell my doctor. But perhaps that’s just Finland. We get a permanent mark in the record if you mention it, and especially if at some in your life you need to services of a psychologist, that’s gonna come back to haunt you.

I don’t think it’s like that here. That’s fucked up though. Weed is legal here and mushrooms are almost legal it seems so it might not be as big a big deal.

It’s a bad idea in the US as well. It will be on your medical record and if you ever need prescription opiates or benzos in the future you will get them refused for potential “drug seeking behavior”

You should only disclose drug use to your doctor when it’s necessary, like if you are going under anesthesia. And if it’s not an emergency procedure you should just stay sober long enough beforehand that you won’t need to disclose it

When I was in Jamaica, one of the tour guides pointed out the (former, I think?) house of a celebrity. Apparently, you always knew when the celebrity was in town because, quote, “you could smell them smoking.”

When he said this, I sincerely thought the guide meant smoking meat until I made a comment about that and everyone started laughing at me.

If you pack and unpack something enough, the wrinkles kind of distribute more evenly instead of those sharp “square” patterns. Looking at the other hints in the picture like the fence in the background and the concrete slab, it seems this was set up hastily in some lot or alley.

Look at that “yard.” Weird old cheap red-stained lumber behind a “rustic” fence that doesn’t even reach the bare, dirt ground, a bare concrete slab, folding chairs just unwrapped with factory wrinkles, cables laying on the ground like a stagehand set it up, and absolutely no personal touches other than the smoker and barbecue.

This was obviously staged in some lot or ally behind the Meta Factory or wherever the fuck Zuck incubates and “smokes meat.”

does anybody know whether weed smoke has the same bad health effects on your lungs as cigarettes?

i assume yes if the dose of smoke is the same, since it’s the smoke that’s acid and not the nicotine.

Yes it has around the same health effects if you smoke it in equal quantity. I think tobacco is a little worse because of some unique compounds or something that are generated, but ultimately smoke is pretty bad for you.

The thing with weed is that the quantity is often way lower, so practically speaking is often not as bad.

I don’t know about other people, but I can barely smoke a whole joint in one sitting in a day. My wife on the other hand can smoke half a pack of cigarettes a day. I don’t really know many other people that smoke weed though. I actually smoke less now that I ran out of my home grown stuff I grew last year. The commercial stuff in Canada is way too strong for me.

It’s definitely a lot less smoke with weed. I have a few friends who smoke, and when we smoke together, we’ll light up a joint that’ll last for a while because we only take three to four hits each, and then we’re set. Or when I smoke alone, a whole ounce will last me an entire month, even if I’m smoking all day, every day. That’s equivalent to two packs of cigarettes (assuming 18 grams/pack) PER MONTH of weed.

The only thing people should be wary of is holding it in for way longer than necessary.

Well, that’s a rational behavior. Tobacco is significantly more unhealthy and addictive. It’s also much more harmful for passive smokers

I feel like anyone who has made their way to crack has stopped to smoke a joint on the way

Sadly many go straight to heroin then to crack after a morphine addiction due to injury and such, and don’t actually go through any “softer” drugs.

I’m not in the US and meth isn’t really a thing here but the downer -> stimulant path doesn’t sound very logical to me. Once you’re at heroin, the only thing you want more of is heroin.

I guess it could be, if you’re experimenting with it recreationally, and your dealer is selling both? That path is easily avoided by just legalizing weed, though.

If you’re looking for drugs because your doctor prescribed buckets of oxy for your back pain, only to then pull the rug and expect you to quit cold turkey, you’re going straight to opiates.

I have had this conversation with docs before and it went surprisingly boringly. They’re like, well, do try to get sober, see you in 6 months or when you die.
